In 1931, Edward W. Napleton opened the first Napleton Service Station in Blue Island, IL, a south Chicago community. With a $700 loan and a dedication to common courtesy, the Napleton journey began!

As is the case with many family-run businesses, Edward's son Francis was right by his side in the early development years of the family business. He began his career sweeping the shop floor for his dad's business and later helped his father with the opening of their first dealership: a DeSoto franchise in south Chicago.

As Francis grew older, five of his eight children worked in the family auto business for their entire lives. Edward F. (Ed) Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career sweeping the same floors owned by his father and grandfather, and is now the owner of the largest auto dealership group in Illinois with 3,500+ employees running 58+ dealerships in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
